JoSAA 2026 Round 1 Seat Allotment Released — Check Result at josaa.nic.in
JoSAA 2026 Round 1 seat allotment was released on June 13, 2026 at 10:00 AM at josaa.nic.in. Candidates allotted a seat must choose Freeze, Float, or Slide and complete online financial commitment (reporting fee) before June 26. Round 2 allotment is on June 30.
The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) released the Round 1 seat allotment result for 2026 on June 13, 2026 at 10:00 AM at josaa.nic.in, covering 138 institutes — 23 IITs, IISc Bengaluru, 31 NITs, IIEST Shibpur, 26 IIITs and 56 GFTIs — for 67,323 total seats (4,470 more than 2025).

2. Log in with your JEE 2026 Main application number and password
3. Your allotted institute, programme and category will display
4. Download and save the allotment letter
What to do after Round 1 allotment:
• Freeze: Accept the seat permanently and opt out of subsequent rounds (best option if you're happy with the allotment)
• Float: Accept the current seat but remain in the pool for upgrades to a higher preference in the next round at the same or a different institute
• Slide: Accept the current seat but seek an upgrade to a higher-preferred programme within the same institute only
Online financial commitment (reporting fee): Mandatory during the June 13–26 window to lock any Round 1 seat.

• SC/ST/PwD: ₹15,000

For AP/TS aspirants: IIT Hyderabad is the most popular IIT for Telugu-state candidates. NIT Warangal (TS) and NIT Andhra Pradesh (Tadepalligudem) participate via JEE Main rank. IIIT Hyderabad (UGEE-based) and IIIT Sri City fill seats outside JoSAA through separate processes.
Documents to keep ready for online reporting: Class X and XII marksheets, Aadhaar/photo ID, category certificate (OBC-NCL/SC/ST/EWS in JoSAA format), PwD certificate if applicable, JEE Main and JEE Advanced scorecards, and passport-size photograph matching the application.
