JoSAA 2026 Round 1 Seat Allotment Released — Check Result at josaa.nic.in

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) released the Round 1 seat allotment result for 2026 on June 13, 2026 at 10:00 AM at josaa.nic.in, covering 138 institutes — 23 IITs, IISc Bengaluru, 31 NITs, IIEST Shibpur, 26 IIITs and 56 GFTIs — for 67,323 total seats (4,470 more than 2025). Download and save the allotment letter What to do after Round 1 allotment: • Freeze: Accept the seat permanently and opt out of subsequent rounds (best option if you're happy with the allotment) • Float: Accept the current seat but remain in the pool for upgrades to a higher preference in the next round at the same or a different institute • Slide: Accept the current seat but seek an upgrade to a higher-preferred programme within the same institute only Online financial commitment (reporting fee): Mandatory during the June 13–26 window to lock any Round 1 seat. • General/OBC-NCL/EWS: ₹35,000 • SC/ST/PwD: ₹15,000 (Adjustable against tuition fee after final allotment) Remaining round schedule: • Round 2 allotment: June 30, 2026 • Round 3 allotment: July 6, 2026 • Round 4 allotment: July 10, 2026 • Round 5 allotment: July 16, 2026 (final JoSAA round) For AP/TS aspirants: IIT Hyderabad is the most popular IIT for Telugu-state candidates. NIT Warangal (TS) and NIT Andhra Pradesh (Tadepalligudem) participate via JEE Main rank. IIIT Hyderabad (UGEE-based) and IIIT Sri City fill seats outside JoSAA through separate processes. Documents to keep ready for online reporting: Class X and XII marksheets, Aadhaar/photo ID, category certificate (OBC-NCL/SC/ST/EWS in JoSAA format), PwD certificate if applicable, JEE Main and JEE Advanced scorecards, and passport-size photograph matching the application.
